1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Information
- Apple Sign-In Data: When you sign in with Apple, we may receive your name and email address (if you choose to share them). Apple allows you to hide your email address, in which case we receive a private relay email address.
- Display Name: You may optionally set a custom display name within the App.
User Content
- Room Photos: Photos you upload for interior design generation.
- Design Preferences: Style selections, custom style inputs, and design notes you provide.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device Information
- Device Identifier: A unique identifier generated for your device, stored securely in the iOS Keychain. This identifier persists across app reinstallations to maintain your credits and preferences.
- Device Type and OS Version: Basic device information for compatibility and troubleshooting.
- IP Address: Your Internet Protocol address is automatically collected when you connect to our servers. This is used for security, fraud prevention, and approximate geographic location.
Usage Information
- Generation History: Records of design generations you request, including timestamps and style selections.
- Credit Usage: Tracking of free credits and subscription quota usage.
- App Interactions: Features accessed and actions taken within the App.
Log Data
When you use our App, our servers automatically collect log data that may include:
- Your device's IP address
- Device name and operating system version
- App configuration and settings
- Time and date of your use of the App
- Other diagnostic data

Apple
- Authentication credentials and account information when you use Sign in with Apple.
- Subscription and payment verification through Apple's StoreKit.

Important: We do NOT use your uploaded photos or generated designs to train our AI models. We use aggregated, anonymized usage data (such as which styles are most popular) to improve our service, but your personal photos and designs are never used for AI training purposes.

If we detect suspicious activity, we may temporarily suspend your account pending investigation. We will notify you if your account is suspended.

We do NOT use your room photos or designs for advertising. This is subject to your App Tracking Transparency preferences on iOS.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
3.1 Service Providers
We share data with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App:
- AI Processing Services: Room photos are processed by AI services to analyze room structure and generate design suggestions. These providers process data according to their privacy policies and our data processing agreements.
- Cloud Infrastructure Providers: Our cloud infrastructure providers store user data, images, and application data securely.
- Apple: Payment processing for subscriptions is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store.
3.2 Advertising Partners
With your consent, we share limited data with advertising and analytics partners to measure advertising effectiveness: device identifiers (IDFA), app events (installation, opens), and device type. We do NOT share your photos, designs, email, or personal content with advertising partners.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
3.4 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Where We Store Your Data
- Cloud Storage: Your photos and generated designs are stored on secure cloud servers.
- Local Storage: Device identifiers are stored in your device's secure Keychain. Preferences and account settings are stored in the app's local storage.
4.2 How We Protect Your Data
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Secure storage using iOS Keychain for sensitive identifiers
- Access controls and authentication for backend systems
4.3 Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active.
- Photos and Designs (Free Users): Projects and associated images are retained for 7 days, after which they may be automatically deleted.
- Photos and Designs (Paid Subscribers): Projects and associated images are retained as long as the project is active and your subscription remains valid.
- Device Identifier: Persists in your device's Keychain until manually cleared.
- Subscription Data: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws.
- Usage Logs: Retained 30 days for operational and analytical purposes.
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 Access and Control Your Data
- View Your Data: Access your projects, designs, and account information within the App.
- Export Your Data: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format by contacting us at support@luqtech.app. We will provide your data within 30 days.
- Delete Projects: Remove individual projects and their associated images at any time.
- Hide Your Email: Toggle email visibility in Profile settings if signed in with Apple.
- Update Display Name: Change your display name in Profile settings.
5.2 Sign Out and Account Deletion
- Sign Out: Sign out from the App while preserving your local data.
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by going to Settings > Delete Account in the App, or by contacting us at support@luqtech.app.
Upon receiving your deletion request:
- We will process your request within 30 days (or as required by applicable law)
- We will delete your account information, projects, photos, and generated designs from our systems
- We will request deletion of your data from third-party service providers within 30 days
- Some data may be retained for up to 90 days in backup systems, after which it will be permanently deleted
- We may retain certain information as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes)
Note: Data stored in third-party services may be subject to their own retention policies. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure deletion, but cannot guarantee immediate deletion from all third-party systems.
5.3 Managing Subscriptions
Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > HomeLUQ
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13:
- We will immediately delete all data associated with that child's account
- We will delete the account and prevent further access
- We will not use the information for any purpose
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@luqtech.app. We will promptly delete such information upon verification.
Age Verification:
- By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old
- If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the App
- We reserve the right to request age verification if we have reason to believe a user is under 13
7. Third-Party Services
7.1 AI Processing Services
When you upload a photo for design generation, the image is processed by third-party AI services.
Data Processing:
- Your photos are sent to AI service providers for analysis and image generation
- Providers may temporarily store your images during processing (typically less than 24 hours)
- We have configured our integrations to minimize data retention
- Our AI service providers do NOT use your photos to train their AI models (as per our service agreements)
Data Deletion:
- Processed images are automatically deleted from provider servers after generation completes
- If you delete your account or project, we will request deletion of any remaining data from our service providers
7.2 Apple Services
- Sign in with Apple: Authentication is handled by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- App Store Payments: All subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.
7.3 Cloud Infrastructure
Our backend infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud platforms that comply with industry-standard security practices.
7.4 Advertising Partners
We may use advertising services to promote our App and measure advertising effectiveness. For details on what data is shared and your choices, see Section 8 below.
8. Advertising and Tracking
8.1 App Tracking Transparency
On iOS 14.5 and later, we request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes. You can:
- Allow Tracking: Enables personalized advertising and helps us measure ad effectiveness.
- Ask App Not to Track: Limits data sharing with advertising partners.

Data Retention: Advertising partners retain data according to their own policies. We do not control how long they retain this data.

- Create lookalike audiences for advertising (aggregated, non-personal data)
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal information to advertisers
- Share your room photos or designs with advertising partners
- Use your design content for advertising purposes without consent
8.4 Do Not Track Signals
Your browser or device may send "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Currently, we do not respond to DNT signals because there is no industry standard for how to interpret them. We continue to monitor developments in this area.
You can control tracking through:

- Your device privacy settings
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country.
Safeguards We Implement:

- We conduct regular security assessments of our service providers
- We maintain data processing agreements with all third-party service providers that include data protection obligations
By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
